Forces Collide
Although it occupies an important juncture among the medical disciplines, academic surgical pathology lies somewhat below the horizon, occasionally popping up for the citizens to see, and even then only briefly. Though buried within the currents of American Medicine, this branch of pathology nevertheless feels the breath of society in its hallways. Beyond the laboratory lies a constantly evolving environment that influences our internal relationships as well as our responses to the public.
